Consciousness, intelligence, and force are fittingly symbolized by the colors blue, yellow, and red

consciousness-colorsMany P. Hall had written in the Secret Teachings of All Ages – “Consciousness, intelligence, and force are fittingly symbolized by the colors blue, yellow, and red. The therapeutic effects of the colors, moreover, are in harmony with this concept, for blue is a fine, soothing, electrical color; yellow, a vitalizing and refining color; and red, an agitating and heat-giving color. It has also been demonstrated that minerals and plants affect the human constitution according to their colors.

Thus a yellow flower generally yields a medicine that affects the constitution in a manner similar to yellow light or the musical tone mi. An orange flower will influence in a manner similar to orange light and, being one of the so-called secondary colors, corresponds either to the tone re or to the chord of do and mi.

The ancients conceived the spirit of man to correspond with the color blue, the mind with yellow, and the body with red. Heaven is therefore blue, earth yellow, and hell–or the underworld–red. The fiery condition of the inferno merely symbolizes the nature of the sphere or plane of force of which it is composed.

In the Greek Mysteries the irrational sphere was always considered as red, for it represented that condition in which the consciousness is enslaved by the lusts and passions of the lower nature. In India certain of the gods–usually attributes of Vishnu–are depicted with blue skin to signify their divine and supermundane constitution. According to esoteric philosophy, blue is the true and sacred color of the sun. The apparent orange-yellow shade of this orb is the result of its rays being immersed in the substances of the illusionary world.

In the original symbolism of the Christian Church, colors were of first importance and their use was regulated according to carefully prepared rules. Since the Middle Ages, however, the carelessness with which colors have been employed has resulted in the loss of their deeper emblematic meanings.

In its primary aspect, white or silver signified life, purity, innocence, joy, and light; red, the suffering and death of Christ and His saints, and also divine love, blood, and warfare or suffering; blue, the heavenly sphere and the states of godliness and contemplation; yellow or gold, glory, fruitfulness, and goodness; green, fecundity, youthfulness, and prosperity; violet, humility, deep affection, and sorrow; black, death, destruction, and humiliation. In early church art the colors of robes and ornaments also revealed whether a saint had been martyred, as well as the character of the work that he had done to deserve canonization.

In addition to the colors of the spectrum there are a vast number of vibratory color waves, some too low and others too high to be registered by the human optical apparatus. It is appalling to contemplate man’s colossal ignorance concerning these vistas of abstract space. As in the past man explored unknown continents, so in the future, armed with curious implements fashioned for the purpose, he will explore these little known fastnesses of light, color, sound, and consciousness.”

Bob Dylan at 20 on Freak Shows

“I‘m never going to become rich and famous” – Bob Dylan in 1962.

Dylan was just 20 years old when he appeared on the Folksingers Choice radio program on WBAI FM in New York City. He’d arrived in Manhattan just a few years earlier and was playing in the coffee houses of Greenwich Village, at one in particular he was paid “a dollar plus a cheeseburger.”

During this hour-long interview with Cynthia Gooding, Dylan played some of his own songs (“The Death of Emmett Till”, “Standing on the Highway”) and covers of classics by Howlin’ Wolf, Hank Williams, and Woody Guthrie. We scored this Blank on Blank with Dylan tuning up his guitar and playing his harmonica.

It’s a wonderful snapshot in time, with a young Dylan before he was famous and before he even released his debut album. He’s nervous and funny. He’s just a guy with a guitar with a little mischief underneath.

Listen to the full interview and hear some rarely heard songs on our website: http://blankonblank.org/bob-dylan/

What Is Karma? Chapter 2 – Karma, Causality & Natural Law

Since karma is anything you do that causes harm to sentient consciousness, which includes yourself, it is easier to awaken to the truth of understanding that we are our own worst enemies. We are the architects with the power to build or destroy the quality of our experience in this existence. This is why everyone has karma, including “good” people. Even if you aren’t harming others, you’re probably harming yourself in some way with a habit, pattern of thinking, or pattern of feeling. The ignorance of what is causing this self-harm, which is rooted in fear, is preventing you from being whole and secure. Until you acknowledge the truth of what is dividing you within, you’ll continue to find yourself in the same self-defeating patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving.

Electric Stars, Electric Universe | Space News

The fundamental difference between the Electric Universe and standard cosmology can probably be summarized as follows: The electric universe is a connected universe, where nothing is born or exists in isolation. Filamentary networks of electric currents pervade space, producing the magnetic fields that are now detected at virtually all scales throughout the Universe. Yet even as the existence of electric currents in space has slowly entered the astronomical literature, astronomers still view gravity as the predominant force in the cosmos. Today, Nicholas Sykes discusses the Electric Universe foundations for a new understanding of many phenomena in nature, including our own Sun.

Did You Know You Already Have Access to 100% of Your Brain?

full-brain-power-300x195Most of us have been conditioned by the mainstream science community to think that we can only use 10 percent of our brains. This is designed to condition us to think that we are weak and powerless. The fact is that we can access 100 percent of our brains but can only use a certain percentage of our brains in the present moment. However, the more we learn how to balance the left and right hemispheres of our brains and educate our minds with knowledge of empowerment, the more we can use more of our brains in the present moment.

One of the most effective techniques to balance the left and right hemispheres of your brain is meditation. Meditation is great for disciplining your mind and strengthening the connection between your brain, mind and heart. This connection is essential for helping you to use more than 10 percent of your brain in the present moment. Chi masters and shaolin monks are great examples of people who can use certain parts of their brains that are believed to be inaccessible to the average human. With proper meditation and brain exercises, anyone can strengthen his or her brain and mind to the level of chi masters.

Below is an excellent short video that explains why you have access to 100 percent of your brain.

Deathnauts: Strange Scientific Journeys Into the Afterlife

01-Consciousness-585x306by Brent Swancer

One of the great frontiers of human experience and the unknown is that of what happens to us when we inevitably die. It is perhaps the final frontier we face, and certainly the most mysterious. What happens to us when we pass on? Do we simply blink out of existence? Are we reborn into new bodies? Does our soul transfer to another plane of existence? Do we even have a “soul” as we like to think of it at all? These are some of the many questions concerning the afterlife which mankind has pondered since time unremembered. The realm of death is a complete cipher to us, a place into which we can only make a one way journey and which lies in an obscured, unexplored territory more inaccessible than the highest mountain or deepest undersea abyss, indeed more remote than the furthest edges of the solar system and even the edge of the universe as we know it. What becomes of us after death remains a complete mystery to us which we have long been frustratingly unable to explore to any appreciable degree without making that one way journey for ourselves.

Yet, with the advent of science and technology, and our increasing abilities to explore the outer fringes of our understanding, there has arisen a new question: can we scientifically prove and verify what happens to us after death? Can we use our advanced knowledge and technology to settle the age old debate of scientists, philosophers, and lay men alike once and for all? In this era of discovery, where we are ever relentlessly unlocking the secrets to our planet and the universe, pushing out into the boundaries past all that was known before, there have indeed been attempts to scientifically study what lies beyond our demise. These are the efforts of those who would penetrate that last frontier and come back with the answers we seek.

Image2Those who would scientifically attempt to delve into the afterlife have long been plagued by dogma, ridicule, and misunderstanding. In one 1982 poll, it was found that a mere 16% of top scientists from various fields questioned believed that there was an afterlife at all, and only 4% thought we would ever be able to conclusively prove it. This general dismissive attitude and air of disinterest by the scientific community has hampered efforts for those who would seriously try to study the afterlife, as funding is rarely granted for such projects and those who pursue this avenue of research risk ridicule and derisive scorn from their peers. Interestingly, the rate of belief in an afterlife among medical doctors is significantly higher, with a 2005 poll showing that 59% of American medical doctors believed in an afterlife, which is a dramatically higher percentage than any other scientific profession.

Perhaps this stronger belief in something going on beyond the domain of life has to do with medical doctors’ experiences dealing with those who have experienced what are called near death experiences, or NDEs. These are reports by people who have claimed that after clinical death they have retained some form of awareness, no matter how tenuous, and have often reported similar phenomena in this state, regardless of religion or whether they believe in any kind of afterlife or not. These experiences are reported by a staggering number of people, around an estimated 200,000 people per year in the United States alone and untold millions worldwide. Commonly reported NDE experiences include leaving one’s body to observe the room and their own form, seeing a bright light, a feeling of peace or love, or even meeting long dead friends or relatives.

The Soul’s Purpose And The Seven Rays

The-Souls-Purpose-790x381by Dylan Harper

What is purpose and where does it come from?

Sense of purpose is crucial to a satisfied and harmonious life. We all seem to have a yearning for something, even if in some people that sense of destiny is partially suppressed, denied or distorted. Purpose in life is what makes us tick. It’s what gets us out of bed in the morning, it defines sense of worthwhile service and it brings the divine nature of the etheric into reality. Yet when unbalanced it can also make us desperately unhappy. So what is the purpose of the soul, where does it come from and how can we attune it so that we may experience a fulfilling and successful life?…

Let there be light!

From the Openhand perspective, all arose from the great void before time came into existence. Pure presence, the absolute, God, separated into two flows of consciousness; one outwards to ever greater sense of separation and the other inwards to ever greater sense of unity and at-one-ment. We call the two flows “Separation Consciousness” and “Unity Consciousness”.

This underlying dynamic has created the entirety of universal form. As the Separation flowed outwards, its energetic strength increasingly diminished until the pull back inwards of Unity caused a condensation into form. Thus materiality happened in the shape of gases, liquids and solids. The immense gravitational forces caused the formation of planets, solar systems and galaxies. And within that form, life has evolved as we see it today.

When we look at the big picture along these lines, there appears to be no intended purpose. If there was, who intended it? Where did that creator come from and who created the creator? No, to me, life sprang into form spontaneously because it was inevitable, given an infinite array of time. But there still is sense of purpose which most people feel. Why is that?…

Sense of purpose arises from the pull back to the source of life itself.
Separation Consciousness has subdivided and condensed into multiplicity of form.
But each fractal of materiality is infused with the impetus for increasing sense of unity.
It is a pull back to ever higher degrees of unity and oneness, which manifests as a yearning to fully express the memory of the original condition of absolute oneness.
This is what defines and shapes the soul within each of us.  The soul is an inherent divine sense of purpose, direction and destiny, which when we align with, fulfills all our true desires and needs.

Distortions impacting true impulses

This interplay of the multiplicity of separated form and action, yet infused with the pull to higher sense of unity, defines every thought, emotion and action that takes place both in the macrocosym of the universe and the microcosym of our daily lives. All our choices are defined by this simple underlying dynamic. To me, all of form and creative action is caused by this Relativity which Einstein so eloquently introduced.

Building Your 5D Reality… Here and Now

Image1by Open | Contributing writer for Wake Up World

It’s time folks. Procrastination has to fall by the wayside now. Allegiance to a dying system must progressively wither and perish, just as the system itself is doing. There will likely be fear about that. It’s okay. Honour it, embrace it, because fear is a tremendous vehicle for growth. It’s in the fear where you can honestly touch your identification — the holding on. Where does it get tight inside? Here’s the answer your soul is seeking out, here’s exactly why you created this moment — for this feeling you’re having now. It’s through these burning doorways that we blaze a trail into a new reality, a higher evolution of being. It’s possible, necessary, and it’s calling you…

Be All-In

The 3D world is no doubt pervasive. It’s the solidity of it, isn’t it? You eat solid food, walk on solid ground, everywhere feel solid things. Everything you witness reconfirms what your mind thought about the world you see around you. Even if you’re awake, witnessing, testing exploring, still the reflection in the solidity tells you about the reality of the 3D.

In many ways it’s a good thing. How else would you enjoy the taste of an apple, the feeling of early morning breath as it expands your chest, or the sun on your face gently soothing?

There’s great beauty in this of course. But the more we engross ourselves in it, the more it limits our capacity to see beyond, to feel beyond, to go beyond. I’m not saying not to enjoy what’s left of the 3D world, not at all. I’m saying enjoy it like there’s no tomorrow. Be all-in. But here’s the key — explore so deeply in, be so present within it, that you pick up your soul flowing through the experience.

There’s so much more than just the physical.

The Eye of the Needle

Take sexual intimacy: two apparent polarities melting into each other. The pull of love is so compelling, so completing, so fulfilling, so physically wonderful, but the risk is that becomes the end of it — the anti-climax. However, when you deeply penetrate the physical experience, go sensually into every cell, then once more you pick up the intangible essence of soul, which sweeps you up into higher dimensions.
