Nature-Based Education System

forrest kindergartenby Katherine Martinko

After experiencing the “diseased” U.S. education system firsthand, Danish filmmaker Dan Stilling (who filmed “The Martian”) and American producer/writer Aimie Stilling head to Scandinavia to show how children are educated there, in stark contrast to the U.S. approach. The result is a beautiful 80-minute documentary that moves between the forests near Copenhagen to the fjords of northern Norway, looking at the unusual and truly wonderful ways in which Scandinavian children are taught. The film has been very well-received and has already won 5 international awards.

The fundamental difference shown in the film is the attitude that “Children belong in nature, and nature belongs in education.” Many children attend forest kindergartens, where they spend most of their days outside, rain or shine. In the words of one teacher, “I’ve never met a child so wet that they couldn’t get dry again.” Even children who live in urban settings are frequently taken into the wilderness, into national parks, where they engage with nature for hours on end.

Happiness of the Awakened Heart

Image1by Frank M. Wanderer

Have you ever witnessed when a bird welcomed the rising sun with its song at dawn? Its heart overflows with joy, and it must share its happiness, the chant of its heart, with the whole wide world. Why cannot we live like that, to celebrate life like that?

Because we are submerged deep in the troubled world of our Mind, and we are unable to experience that emotion. We live in powerful identification with our senses, emotions and thoughts in a world characterised by continual stress, struggle and suffering.

This is a permanently changing, chaotic world, where everything has its opposite: pleasure is accompanied by sorrow, happiness by unhappiness, success by failure. This world does not have the permanence, the harmony that could serve as a foundation for the chant of the heart, that is, the experience and expression of the everlasting joy.

We all have a deep desire for harmony and joy, characterized by all-permeating love and tranquility. That is a harmony that can be disturbed neither by solitude nor by a company. That is a freedom that is not affected by oppositions and controversies. It is only under those circumstances that the chant of the heart will be heard in our soul. But how are we able to achieve that harmony?

For creating the possibility for that in our life, we must recognize the fact that we are not able to find the desired harmony as long as we identify with our Mind and its constantly changing contents. We need to realize that we are not identical with our body and Mind. It is, however, not sufficient to be aware of that, we also need to experience that.

In the course of our life we gather an immense amount of experience of different kinds. Gathering experience is at the same time a process of learning, we learn from our experience. Is that really true? The majority of people do not seem to learn from their experience, since they repeat the same mistake again and again. What is the reason for that? The value of an experience always comes from our being present at the time and place of the experience concerned. In most cases, however, we are only present physically when something is happening to us, and our attention is almost always somewhere else.

Reality exists outside of any concepts you have of it

Image1by Brian Thompson.

Reality exists outside of any concepts you have of it.

Reality is immune to any belief—it is empty of theoretical notion, philosophy, politic, policy, rule, regulation or religious ideology.

Reality is THIS < snapping fingers loudly >. It is nothing other than the direct cognition of whatever appears within the contents of one’s consciousness.

THIS < snap! > is your true nature, here and now—empty of any mental projections which mind layers onto it, that only distort what you, pure consciousness, are directly perceiving.

Reality needs no translation or interpretation. Any attempt to do so is to lose yourself in the relative—or, that which isn’t real. It must be realized that the relative changes from moment to moment, but you—consciousness—are absolute.

You, consciousness, are forever true.

Abide in the peaceful beauty of that which IS—and realize that you are That. You are not apart from your presence of awareness—you ARE it. Anything that appears within it is merely an impermanent and relative phenomenal manifestation.

Perceive your mind, but do not be bothered by it. Perceive the happenings of the world, but do not be lost within it. Perceive other people, but do not believe they are any different from you. Perceive your creative imagination, but do not believe its creations. Revel in the wonder of the mystery and beauty of the cosmos, but do not be confused by any of its unanswerable questions.

Realize that questions only create more questions, which in turn, only create emotional unrest and dis-ease. Answers can only be found within the absence of the inquiring mind.

Archaeology Continues to Reinforce the Truth That Human History Has Been One Long Trip

cannabis A recent paper on ancient cannabis use has made news this week, with some fascinating insights into its origins and spread through Asia and Europe. You can read a good summary of the research at the New Scientist link, so no need for me to rewrite it here.

What did catch my attention though is the following image from the paper, which maps archaeological sites in Eurasia that have been found to contain cannabis remains that date to more than 3000 years ago (ie. 1000 BCE).

ancient-cannabis-mappedWhat this clearly shows is how widespread the usage of cannabis was in ancient times, with some of the dates stretching back well before the advent of written records. In his wonderful book The Long Trip: A Prehistory of Psychedelia*, Paul Devereux offers fascinating insights into how not only cannabis, but many other psychoactive plants, have been used the world over for millennia, often for ceremonial and/or religious/mystical reasons. It is one hell of an eye-opening read, especially for those who think ‘tripping’ was something that started with the counterculture of the 1960s, and I can’t recommend it highly enough (no pun intended)!

Understanding this fact makes modern culture’s outlawing of many of these plants as even more nonsensical than it already is. Our ancestors across the globe have actively used these plants as both physical and spiritual medicine for at least 10,000 years, but suddenly in the last few decades our governments and law-makers have seen fit to not just ban them from human consumption, but to make them illegal and even imprison people who choose to use them.

It is an absolute joke that such laws continue to exist – persecuting those wishing to explore their own mind – when prominent political leaders (the last three U.S. presidents), scientists (Carl Sagan, Francis Crick, Oliver Sacks etc.), tech leaders (Apple’s Steve Jobs etc.) and artists and musicians (too long a list to even begin) have all admitted to using psychoactives, and in some cases have been passionate advocates for their use and benefits.

Ley Lines: The Key to Unlocking the Matrix

Art-91-700x325by Magdaline

The rediscovery of ley lines is unveiling (apocalypse; Greek for unveiling) the secrets of Nature. Ley lines are the luminous strands that many are pulling at today, hardly suspecting what riches lay at the end of these subtle light lines. All ley lines lead to the planetary Grid, the primary light and energy matrix, creating, enveloping, and maintaining planet Earth, our Gaia.

What Are Ley-Lines?

A ley-line is a straight fault line in the earth’s tectonic plates; this is a scientific fact. Through these cracks in the earth’s tectonic plates the magnetic energies released are very powerful indeed.

Many people have claimed to have felt the energy surge up their body, and some have claimed that they have blacked out, as the surge was that powerful.

How Long Have Human Beings Known About Ley Lines?

Our ancestors have known about these lines for thousands of years. Every race and culture on the planet has known about these lines yet every one had different names for these lines. All we need to do is to look at the ancient cultures of the earth.

Take the native Indians of the United States; they used to call ley lines spirit lines and their Shaman’s used to use the electro-magnetic energy in these lines to help them contact the spirits.

Art-91BThey even designed their medicine wheel on the spirit lines, as they knew that these lines followed a straight round line. How did they know about these lines and the energies that they give off? The answer’s simple: the sky Gods told them.

In Europe we are lead to believe that the druids called them mystical lines, in Wales they used the same name as eastern countries; they called them dragon lines. We know that Eastern countries called them dragon lines as the sky Gods flew in dragons along these lines. The aboriginal people of Australia called these lines “dream lines”, once again they claim that knowledge was passed on to them from the sky Gods.

The Da Vinci Code was based on Rennes Le chateau in France, which is also on a leyline. It is documented that Alexander the Great was guided by Aristotle to take control of the major dome centers of these intersecting ley lines from dark forces. Which is why he put his top General, Ptolemy to rule Egypt. Interestingly Cleopatra, the last pharaoh along side with both of her husbands- Julius Ceasar and Marc Anthony of Rome, were defeated by the Romans where they eventually destroyed the biggest library in Alexandria Egypt, before taking all the knowledge with them, sending us into the “Dark Ages”. During the medieval times anyone who had any knowledge of Hermetic’s was designated a Heretic and died a horrible death. This held true for anyone who knew how to read or write- a Heresy. Leaving only the royals and the monasteries literate.

Grounding: The Gift Of Being In Your Body

The-Gift-of-Being-790x381by Dylan Harper

Without grounding, the energetic healings, spiritual insights, and positive shifts we experience will fade away because they are not permanently imprinted into our cellular memory and anchored into the Earth.

“Be here now.” We see this phrase everywhere, but are we actually embodying it? Are we consciously present and in our experience here on Earth? Often, the most simple of phrases hold the biggest treasures. Now more than ever, we need to be here now. We are in the midst of a global ascension and are experiencing a multitude of energetic shifts both off and on our planet. Being anchored into the Earth allows you to go with the flow of these new planetary changes while remaining safe and secure in your body.

As an energy practitioner, I’ve observed that the one thing every client of mine has in common is that they are not grounded into the Earth and fully occupying their bodies.

When you are ungrounded, life becomes chaotic and confusing. To be out of body is to be out of control. How can you focus when you’re not actually here? My clients suffering from anxiety, nervousness, negative thoughts, paranoia, uncertainty, rage, insecurity, lethargy, exhaustion, and full body illnesses all have one thing in common: they are out of their bodies, and when you leave your body, you invite negative and heavy energies in. Moreover, clients holding trauma in their root chakra are by far the most ungrounded. This is because our grounding cord is located at the tailbone, and our energy streams from the crown chakra down through the root chakra before entering the grounding cord and making its way down to the core of the Earth. Clients with blocks in their root chakra lack the space to allow a healthy flow of energy to connect them from their grounding cord to the planet and release their trauma into the Earth. They go through life like a balloon floating around filled with toxic energies just waiting to pop. Not only is this a dangerous way to live, its not actually living.

As children of the Earth, we are made to thrive and live happy and fulfilled lives here. We incarnated into this planet to have a human experience, and the only way to do so is to actually live in the human body you were given.

The first thing I do at the start of a Quantum Sphere Healing session is ground the client to the center of the Earth and connect them to the unconditional love of Mother Earth. Their heavy energy and toxins are dumped and recycled into the planet and a stream of healing light is sent up through the grounding cord into the client’s energetic body. The client immediately feels a calming, loving sensation of safety and security. This is how it truly feels to be present and in your body.

Philip K. Dick Claimed That Time Stopped in 50 AD and Didn’t Progress Since Then

Philip K. DickNovelist Philip K. Dick, suggested that time on Earth has stopped in the year 50 AD, and he gives concrete reasons for his theory in his breathtaking essay “How to Build a Universe That Doesn’t Fall Apart Two Days Later,” in “I Hope I Shall Arrive Soon.”

In short, he believes that our world today is not taking place in the 21st century, and we are deceived and live in a counterfeit reality lodged in a spacetime pocket in 50 AD.

He writes:

“My theory is this: time is not real… Despite all the change we see, a specific permanent landscape underlies the world of change: and this invisible underlying landscape is that of the Bible; it, specifically, is the period immediately following the death and resurrection of Christ; it is, in other words, the time period of the Book of Acts.

“[There is] internal evidence…that another reality, an unchanging one, exactly as Parmenides and Plato suspected, underlies the visible phenomenal world of change…and we can cut through to it…

“Thousands of years pass, but the world of the Bible is concealed beneath it, still there and still real.”

To Dick, the Bible is a literally real but veiled landscape, never changing but usually hidden from our sight. Dick cites numerous coincidences in his life that plunged him back to the time period of the Book of Acts.

His novels contained surprising fragments of the Bible that he had never read at the time of his own writing.

When a young Christian woman wearing a shining gold fish necklace appears at his doorway with medicine for his pain, it all becomes clear to him. The synchronicities are too much.

Although Dick realizes that modern scientists would scoff at his seemingly insane assertions, he promotes his odd worldview as a useful metaphor for the difficulties humans have when trying to comprehend reality.

The Evolution Of Reality By Terence Mckenna

Transcedence + Ascension = TRANSCENSION

The transcension hypothesis asks whether our civilization is rapidly developing into something analogous to a black hole Some physicists also argue black holes may be “seeds” or “replicators” for new universes, thus giving us a clue as to what we would do after we meet up with other intelligence

Mind Over Matter

This video is not designed to make you believe, but to make you think, to make you start questioning reality and to make you realize that there is more to life than the physical realm we see with our own eyes. We will explore the many wonders of consciousness which each and every one of you have, how our thoughts can affect reality itself and explain how we are all internally connected, we are all one.

We are all connected.
To each other biologically.
To the Earth, chemically.
To the rest of the universe, atomically.
– Neil deGrasse Tyson

Knowledge of this have been suppressed through our education and media. War, murder, hate, fear, materialism and separation are factors that have been slowing down our evolution. Do you know why the system is failing us, education, media, the economy, everything else is failing? Because this system is no longer relevant. We are suppose to evolve, but that can’t happen unless we solve all of our problems here on Earth and realize that we are all connected.

The Free Thinker’s Manifesto

Image1“Man, whether he likes it or not, is a being forced by his nature to seek some higher authority. If he succeeds in finding it of himself then he is a superior man; if not, he is a mass-man and must receive it from his superiors.” ~ Jose Ortega y Gasset

A specter is haunting the status quo –the specter of free thinking. Alas, the mass-man is too much “mass” and not enough “man.” He is too much victim and not enough hero. He is too much fear and not enough courage. His brains, cadaverous from too much dead time. His mind, worn thin from lack of imagination and too much propagandized divisiveness. His eyes, cow-eyed, eye-guarded, with a dead mackerel stare from being over-herded and playing the victim. His heart, repressed and stifled from too much nine-to-five slavery and not enough unf*ck-the-world anarchy.

The mass-man suffers from fixed thinking. He can only be usurped by the overman, who flourishes in free thinking. More importantly, the mass-man is an aspect of us all, and can only be appropriated and reconciled by its counterpoint: the overman within us all. Similar to how it’s our responsibility alone to reconcile our own shadows in order to become more holistic, we must also reconcile our own mass-man in order to become more open-minded.

As it stands, the history of all hitherto existing human conditions is the history of free and fixed thinking. Non-conformist and conformist, disobedient and obedient, dissident and sycophant, unorthodox and orthodox, have been in constant conflict with one another. An opposition that each time ended, either in progressive and creative evolution, or in regressive and stagnate devolution.

afree2It is high time that free thinkers should openly, in the face of the whole world, pronounce their liberated views, their flexible aims, their imaginative tendencies, their radical art, and meet the State-suckling, history-possessed, single-minded fixed thinkers with a manifesto of Free Thinking itself.

Hint: this is best accomplished using a mirror.

The marks of a free thinker are the ability to question everything, the ability to stretch comfort zones, the ability to flatten status quo boxes, and an exuberant curiosity in the face of the unknown.

Questioning everything

“Enlightenment is man’s emergence from self-incurred immaturity. Immaturity is the inability to use one’s own understanding without the guidance of another.” ~ Immanuel Kant
